Beautiful historic building set in well maintained park and golf course. My room was in a dependance building with unusually large windows with beautiful view overlooking a nice meadow across the hedge, full english served breakfast.

Beautiful building with a lovely aesthetic. Easy to reach with ample parking and in a quiet area. Rooms were very comfy, and pretty well maintained, especially considering the age of the building.

Food was exceptional and they catered to allergy requirements. Being able to use the facilities whenever even after checking out. The staff were happy to work there and with every reasonable request they went out of their way. Nothing was shut down really. Was nice to be somewhere that was relaxing, I can see why it's a wedding venue. We upgraded to the Magnolia Suite when we arrived (paid extra but it was worth it), I would check with the hotel before booking to check if there is a wedding as if you book a suite in advance and there is a wedding you're right next to the tent and it'll be loud! We had a double room on the night of a wedding and they moved us away from the main house, we could hear music but it wasn't booming. Glad they moved us away! Double rooms are just as nice as the suites.

A beautiful property with good facilities. Visited off season on solo bike trip. Good parking. Felt safe and would stay again if in area. Lovely breakfast and comfortable rooms/bathrooms. Nice breakfast

The atmosphere, the sense of history, the friendly staff and, although we only ate 2 meals, the food was quality and well prepared. It was very cold when we arrived but the rooms were well heated with lots of lovely hot water in the bathroom with an abundance of fluffy white towels! Excellent value for money.

Lovely hotel, great surroundings, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Excellent breakfast too. We will be back!
