I arrived on a damp, grey day and initially felt the reception area was a bit dark and gloomy. However, the couple running the pace were friendly. I was pleasantly surprised by a bright, warm, clean room. The usual things were available i.e. tea, coffee, biscuits, hair dryer, soaps, shampoo etc. The WiFi worked. The lady on reception said they did not offer dinner at night in winter, but there were plenty of places to eat a minute walk away (can recommend Valley Spice where I ate). The in room info suggested it was a continental breakfast only...but I was presented with a cooked breakfast - a nice surprise.

We had a very nice welcome, the room was clean and nicely furnished. The breakfast was lovely with lots of choice.
