Didn't pay a lot so expected a run down motel. Facilities were excellent and very good value for money. Clean, comfortable rooms with good advice from the staff of what to see and do and where to eat.

Lovely setting, quiet, comfortable beds, good location, friendly reseption. Very friendly, the lady let us stay in the nice garden till we got picked up.

The reviews are terrible but since I had stayed at this hotel many years ago I thought I would try again. It was once a backpackers hence it is set up with common kitchen which is useful. As I am a budget traveller so it filled all my expectations and Cooktown has very limited budget accommodation. The staff are very friendly and helpful..
