It’s located near Barbarossaplatz, from where you can take the tram to pretty much anywhere in Köln.

Great location just outside the main centre of the city. A metro station just outside the hotel got you to the Xmas markets in about 10 mins

Check in staff guy was lovely but no other staff engaged when you entered or left the hotel. The cleaning guy on the top floor was lovely too.

Staff were excellent, not the ibis I thought I had booked tbh as we were visiting the xmas markets, however it turns out we enjoyed it more as it took you out the way of the markets and there is a lovely bakery around the corner for excellent breakfast and opposite a superb pub with huge inexpensive meals and great atmosphere

Selection of food at breakfast was good. Location very good for the trams and restaurants. Enough lifts, that ran well. Staff helpful.

This is my second stay at the Ibis Hotel in Köln. Once again it met my expectations. It's comfortable, easy to get to and the staff are incredibly helpful. There is a Lidl nearby and various fast food chains, takeaways, sandwich shops and coffee shops within easy walking distance, as well as a tram stop nearby. Obviously this is a budget hotel, so for some the rooms might be very small, but for myself and my sister it was enough and gave us the room to breathe and relax after a long day. This time around I opted out of paying extra for the buffet, however the option is there even if you don't have it included in your booking for an extra €15, which is always helpful if you don't want to go out and eat early in the morning. It's a great budget hotel for a weekend or a long-term stay.
