Very good location, close to the train station. The hotel is not new, but pretty clean and comfortable.

The train station is practically next to the hotel and it only takes a minute to get to Köln hbf from it. The hotel is very warm which is especially nice in the cold weather when you need to sleep which was my main concern when booking a cheaper hotel. The receptionist is very helpful and makes sure you know exactly where everything you need is. You’ll have access to an elevator which’ll greatly help with carrying luggage. You also receive a map of Köln at the start of your stay which’ll greatly help you. If you go around the corner to the left there’ll be a great restaurant (very well-priced too). There’s access to many other restaurants as well leaving you with plenty of choice in several Mediterranean, Asian or regular restaurants. There’s also a Kiosk right next to the hotel and several interesting shops. So the location is especially good for the price point.

We just needed a room to use between checking out of our main hotel and our late night flight and got a good rate for this one. It was a baking hot day so it was nice to have somewhere cool once we had done some last minute sightseeing. room was a good size and clean, we were also able to leave our bags at reception until we could check in so we were able to do our sightseeing. easy check out
