Cheap with very limited breakfast included, the beds, pillows and bedding were very comfy and the overall cleanliness was good but not amazing. The decore was very 3 decades ago but very basic and you could tell this would of been a nicer hotel years ago.

Breakfast was fine, room was comfy although basic furniture, nothing fancy! It worked well, and for the location being quire central was good value.

Rather impressive historical building (over 750 years old) with black panelling and faded portraits, well-appointed, comfortable, bright, warm. Good modern room and bathroom. -- Varied breakfast, including proper German bread and plant-based milk. -- Central location at the edge of the Old Town and close to the River Rhine. -- Very friendly and efficient staff, genuinely helpful.

Alles... The staff were really nice... The reception is nice and the woman with blond hair too... The ratings for the breakfast was low i think it is not true, they serve typical German breakfast with yogurt,fruits, cereals, breads , toas,t jam and different ham. Compared to Continental breakfast we usually have in Asia and US it is not the same. Hams are made out of pork so if your vegetarian they only have cucumbers, tomato, jam etc. for you. Near to the train station and walking distance from the Dome

An easy walk from the station and Cologne cathedral through the Aldstadt and all its squares, cafes, bars and ice cream shops. Near the Rhine and bridges. Breakfast was decent.
