This gorgeous hotel is right in the heart of old Colmar. I was upgraded to a suite, two fights of stairs up, and with various sloped ceilings, definitely not for anyone with mobility issues so my advice would be to spell out any such concerns before you arrive. I was delighted with my upgrade, with its little views onto a quiet canal. The breakfast was really good. Gorgeous pain au chocolat and nice coffee. From the hotel you go on foot to explore this beautiful city. Side note: if you’re into wine, try Les Cercle des Aromes. Fabulous wine bar that does a great cheese and charcuterie platter.

The spiral staircase was really nice. The theming was great and lots of nice furniture throughout. Right in the middle of Little Venice which is exactly where we wanted to be and only a short walk to the centre of town. The car park was an added bonus and although a little pricey and awkward to find, it was secure and I felt better knowing the car was away somewhere.

The location was superb, right in the heart of Colmar. The room was a really good size and so was the bathroom with a separate toilet. Fantastic shower. Only downside was the room was very warm and not an easy aircon to work out how to make it a bit cooler. A good choice for breakfast although the breakfast serving area is quite small and can only have 2-3 people at once. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Everything was wonderful incl breakfast and good tasting Espresso in the morning. We also enjoyed the free offered water and Glühwein in the hall after a long walk through Colmar and all the x-mas markets. The location was excellent and we liked Colmar very much around Christmas time. And the lovely sunny weather was good for mind&soul!
