Stayed one night while walking the Via Francigena. Just what you want in a hotel. Traditional and comfortable. We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. Crème caramel as a breakfast option was my husband’s highlight.

Average hotel. Rooms and bathrooms are a bit tired. Needs a bit of updating. Location is in lower part of town, close to lift to historic town but lift was out of order so steep climb up and back. Close to square with good cafes and restaurants, more local than touristy in the lower town. Walls are thin so you can hear noise from other rooms. OK and reasonable value for money for a one night stay on the Via Francigena walk but nothing special.

Exceptional experience - everything was absolute pleasure already from the beginning and fantastic Margherita ("not pizza, but the most beautiful flower";)) did our stay there even more amazing! Great location, stays on the way of FV and it was a real gem we found by a last-minute booking.

The hotel is centrally located with a warm and welcoming staff. The entrance are is light and spacious with a pleasant bar area. We would definitely stay there again.

The hotel has a special appeal, it used to be a paper mill and it still holds much of the old charm. It has a great location with a view of the old town, close to an intercity bus station, a perfect starting point for visiting the whole of Tuscany. If travelling by car, it offers a nice garage. The lovely breakfast and helpful staff add to the perfect experience in La Vecchia Cartiera.

Breakfast was awesome, personal is very nice. Beautiful view. Quality sleep was no problem even when outside temperature was very high.

The bedroom was super clean as well as the bathroom. Towels were cleaned if indicated which is great to reduce water consumption. Breakfast time was ideal, too. The location in the center of Colle and very close to the bus stop to go to Florence makes the hotel an ideal choice. Breakfast was good with the option to request for macchiato, capuccino or espresso.
