Paula and Luis what can we say - absolutely fabulous in every way - from the small welcome touches to the wonderful room and the breakfasts - wow! We have travelled a lot but this takes some beating for feeling like home!

I liked everything Warm welcome & hospitality from hosts. Felt at home straightaway. Beautiful, stylish & spacious room - queen suite (given free upgrade, thank you), with very comfortable, firm bed. House also attractively decorated in 'shabby chic' style. Views over Coimbra & surrounding area & peaceful away from city centre. Delicious breakfast...really a feast! Such variety & quality & a small cake fresh from the oven to finish. Also the tasty snacks left in the room. Muito obrigada Paula e Luis. Espero voltar em breve

Beautiful place, decorated with love and taste, full of heartfelt hospitality. Paola greeted us with a hug and gave us a great overview of where to go in Coimbra with the help of a hand-out map, including some great restaurant tips, while we sipped Porto and enjoyed yummy snacks. She is a lovely person who does everything to make your stay memorable. The rooms were super! Nicely decorated with everything you could ask for. (Our bed was a tad on the hard side, but that is somewhat subjective.) Breakfast was a sumptuous feast fit for kings and queens, with soooo many fresh pastries, fruits, cold cuts, cheese, eggs, etc. And Luis was very friendly and catered to our personal wishes, including an early check-out. (Obrigado, Luis!) Location was great, 15 min downhill and across the bridge and into the center. (Inexpensive Über trip back). Rooms were also quiet. Fantastic stay -- highly recommended!

Staff friendliness, room quality, excellent views, perfect breakfast. Everything was more than excellent. A very cosy hotel. We got also a lot of explanations about Coimbra, its history, maps, etc...

Amazing history, amazing Host that really gauged and respected how much information we wanted to receive. Very engaging or would very much respect privacy if required. I loved to hear all the helpful information that the host was able to provide. Beautifully decorated and very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing and coffees were great. It was raining while we were there but very much enjoyed our overnight stay. It was special and so will be your stay here.

The place is AMAZING! Such a beautiful old house decorated with SO MUCH love and taste, just gorgeous! Paula is SO welcoming, we have never felt 'at home' as fast as here. SUPER warm welcome with LOTS of information prepared for us upon arrival. And all this on her GORGEOUS terrace with a MAGNIFICENT view where we had THE BEST BREAKFAST ever the next morning, thanks to Louis. Yes, the house is located on a busy street but don't be put off, the insulation is superb. We also loved the fact that you can easily walk to dinner places and into town. For us, a PERFECT stay. I would definitely come back and stay here again anytime.

The room was large and had a nice view. Paula was very welcoming and was very proud of her city. She gave us good information for sightseeing. The breakfast was wonderful and very filling. We stayed for one night and it was great. Parking on site was tricky but greatly appreciated.
