Great location as close to the university and centre of town, big, comfortable, good facilities, nice views. Carlos picked us up and dropped us off at the train station.

This property is extremely well located on the hillside above the river and about halfway up to the level of the upper old town. It is such a convenient place and also well equipped. Also, host Carlos was ever so helpful. In fact I must say that the town of Coimbra was notable for such friendly, helpful people everywhere. Among the places I particularly enjoyed was the craft beer pub on the opposite side of the river.

I enjoyed my stay at Carlos's place. The location was great, just a short walk to all the places I wanted to visit. The place is simple, yet it has everything you need. It was very nice of him to pick me up from the train station!

Wonderful location, overlooking the river and a 5 minute walk to the town centre. Carlos is a wonderful, thoughtful host who picked me up and dropped me off from the train station.

The owner picked us up at the train station and brought us to the unit. On the way he recommended several restaurants, Maria Rio was one of them. An excellent restaurant very close to the property. Distance is about 40 m. The property is centrally located in the city. Most attractions and restaurants are walking distance. If you have difficulty with hills, you may want to use the transit system or Bolt. The university is close but strictly up hill. As well, the owner drove us to the train station when we checked out. Forgot to mention, the owner surprised us with a small bottle of Port and two pastels da Nada.

The location, comfortable bedding, Carlos had thoughtfully provided chocolates, water, port wine, laundry detergent, toiletries, and showed us how to operate all the appliances - coffee machine, washing machine, and dryer, he suggested nearby restaurants, and was available by phone should we needed to contact him. Loved the fact that there was a washing machine in the well equipped apartment. Carlos picked us up from the train station on our arrival, assisting us with our luggage, and at the end of our stay drove us back to the station and helped us take our luggage to the platform - such a helpful service to provide.

From my upper floor apparment I had an excellent view of the river Mondego and its banks and there was a balcony when the weather permitted. The appartment was walking distance from all the main sights. The cobbled roads climb and descend, often steeply and I did not use public transport at all but you need to be aware. The host both picked me up and deposited me at the bus station. He was very informative and readily available though I did not need his help during my stay.
