Large comfortable room with a huge bathroom which was lovely and clean. Lovely cooked breakfast, although need to add another toaster as one 4 slice toaster isn't enough for a room full of people. Definitely need a car to get to this hotel, but plenty of parking and a great grassy enclosed area for dogs. It was also nice to be able to take your dog with you for breakfast, as a lot of dog friendly hotels dont allow this.

It was very clean. There was an open log fire in the bar. The food was good pub grub. They sold real ale (local).

The location was perfect, as my parents live locally, and my sister and I stay at the hotel over Christmas, so we could visit family and friends and not have to drive to far..

We did not eat here having read the reviews - so had both dinner and breakfast elsewhere. However the rooms were comfortable and very clean, and there was plenty of hot water. Rooms were also close together as we had requested. There were odd things that needed fixing such as there was a hole in the bathroom ceiling, and parts that needed repainting and where bare plaster was visible. Surprising in a place that was overall comfortable and well-presented

Breakfast was good, had a choice. Plenty of tea and coffee. Good menu, staff were very nice. We had a celiac with us and had previously informed the hotel, they could provide for him just about. Lovely atmosphere, cosy pub. Room adequate, lovely heated floor in the bathroom. Good tea and coffee tray in the bedroom. Lovely fluffy towels, clean and tidy.

We liked the location in the countryside, the room was on the small side and the pillows were very thin, but it was fine for one night. Breakfast was good. It would have been nice to be told that there was a table with cereal and yoghurt - we only found this after we were served our cooked breakfast!
