This place is neat and weel run. The place is well located. Johan and Tim are excellent hosts. They were very helpful. Tim is the cook and Johan is the Public relations officer. They make a great team and were warm and very engaging. Johan also guided us about place to see and places to eat AND made a booking for us at clementines. Breakfast is a glorious affair with both hosts present in a very grand and well appointed room. Well done PATCHAM others will have to follow your lead.

This place met all our expectations as this was the last stop on our round trip back home. From the warm greeting of Johan to the airconditioned bedroom with crisp white linen and a beautiful aroma as you enter just sealed the deal. Our view of the mountains from our bedroom was great. The little balcony overlooking the garden created a homely environment. The bathroom had Charlotte Rhys bath essentials which was such a treat. The breakfast prepared by Tim was exceptional and every little detail was thought about. The whole setting of the home, bedrooms and dining area was tastefully decorated.

We had the most wonderful stay at Johann and Tim’s bed-and-breakfast in Clarens, South Africa. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel right at home, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was not just comfortable but truly special. Johann and Tim’s attention to detail and thoughtfulness made our visit unforgettable. Each morning, the breakfast was a culinary delight—a new adventure that we eagerly looked forward to. Every meal was beautifully presented, delicious, and clearly made with love and care, setting the perfect tone for the day ahead. Their knowledge of the area is outstanding, and they introduced us to hidden gems we wouldn’t have found on our own. Their recommendations turned our trip into the most glorious adventure. We can’t recommend them enough!

The Lilliput house is a place you could live in and really feel at home. Great big firm bed. Every detail including a personalised welcome note, home made rusks, beautful deck and yard. Just fantastic!!!
