Il Castello is a true treasure and exceptional experience in every way - from the professionalism, kindness and thoughtful attention and attentiveness of the staff, to the comfort, quality and refined elegance of the whole establishment. Delicious breakfasts with a wide selection of options and the most incredible views of Clarens and the surrounding mountains. A special treat that nourishes mind, body and soul.

From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly and helpful, offering to carry our luggage and welcoming us with coffee and water—a thoughtful touch that set the tone. The guest house itself is stunning, with an architecturally unique design, lush gardens, and beautiful water features. Having stayed at various places in Clarens, I believe II Castello is one of the most attractive in its class. The rooms boast lovely views, and our room included all the comforts we needed: a working air conditioner, good lighting, fridge, kettle, espresso machine, plus a spacious bathroom with both a shower and a bath. We enjoyed an above average breakfast the next morning, both in taste and service.
