I booked the cheapest single room, not realising that this room only had a half-wall divide between the next one (four beds altogether). If you want a hostel with a little more privacy this is great, and enough space beside the bed to have your stuff etc… unfortunately it is not so suitable if you want an undisturbed sleep, as the half-wall obviously doesn’t block any light or sound

Nice room. Clean, good bed. Good shower. Great roof top terrace. Plenty of free bottled water. Small complimentary breakfast. Streetfood, supermarket, mall all directly around the corner. Railway station a short walk. Kind staff.

Location is next to Ocean shopping mall & behind the mall is street food. Clean room, air con is good, spacious bed. They serve simple breakfast

The room was big, we had to book a triple room as that was all they had left. The room was very clean. We didnt realise the bathrooms were shared, but that is our fault and anyway, they were extremely clean!

There is a lot to like about Miki House with its renovated Japanese vibe having been converted from a hostel to a regular hotel. However the quality of the rooms is not consistent. We opted for a triple with shared bathroom instead of a double with private ensuite because the room was much better. The double room looked unfinished and dark with the bed placed in front of an old balcony door no longer in use where as the shared facilities were newly renovated. The room was also not too bad noise wise but I agree with other reviews re sound proofing.
