The City Centre Motel is almost in the city centre - about a mile's walk from the pretty town of Christchurch and an easy drive in and out of town. The motel has good facilities including a useful Laundry facility for guests - hoard your $2 coins. Rooms spacious and well equipped.

Very friendly, helpful and accommodating manager. Very clean and spacious unit in a location that makes it easy to walk to city centre and Hagley Park. Would stay here again.

Good motel in central location (app. 15 minutes to city centre by foot). Good parking places. Sleeping couch for third person was okay for one night, but pretty noisy when turning around.

the motel is located well for a number of reasons. it's an easy drive to the airport. there's an excellent coffee/breakfast shop three minutes walk up the road. It's an easy walk to the centre of Christchurch, the botanical gardens and shops. The facilities in the room were basic but typical ... tea, instant coffee, minimal bathroom products. It had free parking which was useful as parking restrictions are common on the street, and the room was warm and air conditioned. we were upstairs (top floor) with two flights of stairs to negotiate. The bed was clean and comfortable. Luckily, work on the building site did not start until 8am, so not as inconvenient as it might have been. Staff member was helpful and obliging on arrival.

It's a perfect 15-minute easy flat walk into the town. The room was spacious, clean, and easy to find. I liked that my car was easy to access, although I didn't need to use it. (I could see it from my room.) I ended up checking in late and just rang the number, and the lady was polite, efficient, and kind checking me in.
