“Great location”
12 Apr 2025
Location was amazing. Parking was nearby but not guaranteed so stressful. The mattress in 202 had ‘gone’ on one side. Bath side height made it difficult to access the shower for a woman in her 60s with an arthritic hip! Shame there wasn’t a walk in shower instead. Views of the Priory from my window were great. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. All in all we had a lovely stay.

“Very nice.”

Everything was perfect but the pillows on the bed were quite uncomfortable and the quilt a bit too heavy, but overall a lovely hotel.

“A long weekend away to see relatives and have a well deserved break.”

Room 304, in the eaves, which isn’t too bad if you’re not too tall. I’m 5’9” so a bit difficult sitting up in the bed due to the eaves. I’d call it a compact double room but we were only there to sleep & the weather was good so out most of the time. Room was very, very clean, thank you to the cleaners who took a lot of care. Nice to have bottles of water & milk in the fridge which, along with tea, coffee & biscuits were topped up daily. Reception very helpful too. Noise from next rooms air conditioning unit was a bit disturbing but didn’t go on constantly. We were lucky to park in their slots opposite & the park & river walks were great. Also visited the museum.

“Fantastic hotel”

Great location in Christchurch. The room was fantastic, very spacious and the bed so comfy. Staff were also very nice and helpful too. Had a meal in the restaurant, very good Sunday roast. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Staff really welcoming, found us a table for evening meal. Evening meal and breakfast were really good. Welcome token for a drink was nice idea as was the fresh milk in the fridge in room.

“Little Gem”

What a gem, felt welcome from the moment we arrived. The staff are so friendly, the bedrooms are gorgeous and comfortable.. Perfect location, close to all the things Christchurch has to offer :)

“Superb town centre hotel, would be very pleased to return.”

Check in was efficient, our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with air conditioning providing the heating and cooling. Tea and coffee making facilities were available and there was a fridge in the room. The queen size bed had a duck-down duvet which we found too heavy, it was immediately changed for us. It appeared the hotel had been recently refurbished. All staff we came into contact with were very courteous. Parking at the front and rear of the hotel was somewhat limited but we were able to find spaces when needed. We were given free drinks tokens upon arrival - nice touch!

“A fantastic hotel, fab breakfast, clean and stylish. I would definitely return.”

The room 203 was fantastic, the staff were very professional and made sure that I had everything I needed.

“n excellent experience.”

Breakfast excellent. First bclass fried eggs, bacon. and sourdough toast . The bacon notablty did not have any simister white muck oozing from it, which can be such a hazard these days. I would have liked to be offered more toast. I just had bacon and eggs, not the "full English" because I deplore beans being srved with eggs; and mushrooms and tomatoes cool at different rates and as cold items on the plate are very unappetising. I think it would be good if you could offer "just bacon and eggs" as a specific breakfast option, perhaps with 2 eggs and extra bacon and fried bread. If anyone at the hotel is a bit literary, they might like to refererence Col. Raden's breakfast in John Buchan's novel "John Macnab". The novel also has fishing adventures which have a resonance with the nearby Rive Avon. I did not have any othewr meals at the hotel The staff at KH are truly first class. All of them were keen to help, nor avoiding gertting involved in matters which were not strictly their responsibility. All were working for the best interests of the hotel and guests.
