Beautiful historic hotel which has been lovingly bought back to original with huge medieval fireplace in breakfast room, original ceiling beams and set in peaceful lush courtyard garden within walking distance to everything Chinon has to offer. The owners were delightful and engaging and it was an excellent choice. Highly recommended

We liked everything about this hotel.So pretty set in beautiful gardens.Rooms are very nice and very French in style.Breakfast was really good and staff friendly and helpful.We have stayed at this hotel for ten years so that tells you how nice it is.Very close by on foot to the town's little square where you will find a selection of restaurants.

Location as an overnight stop off on our way back from the Southwest. It’s in the middle of Chinon which we always enjoy visiting.

Quirky privately run hotel close to the centre of Chinon. Good friendly service and excellent continental breakfast. Car parking available on site though chargeable.

Atmosphere ambience - it was like being on the set of a french arts film - where was Catherine Deneuve should have wandered down the stairs - 50 years ago a waft or Gitanes or when will Timothée Chalamet be filming his French version of ‘I am love’ so you now have the magic of the ‘mis en scene’

Beautiful period property, very good customer service and hospitality from the owner. Excellent breakfast, typical continental breakfast of the region with fresh top quality local products. Highly recommended. Walking distance to everything.

Very tranquil. The garden is beautiful and a great setting for breakfast- which was local/homemade produce. The hosts are super. And it’s an independent unique hotel. It was our second and, hopefully, not our last visit.

We liked the building, the garden and cool terrace with all the plants and flowers, the decor, the interior decoration of our room, the whole atmosphere, the staff's style, the good breakfast, the local produce for sale, the peace and quiet.
