Great location. Close to Chiang Mai market. Thapae gate. One can walk all around the old city and visit many temples. I recommend the Don Sutep temple evening tour if you want to see something outside of the hotel area. Night market is also a good walk away. Overall great location and good size room. Staff were very helpful and pleasant.

We loved the location, perfect for exploring. We enjoyed sitting outside watching the world go by in the sun with a drink . Hotel lobby s lovely and the hotel is clean .

The location of Amora Thapae enabled us to walk to almost all our desired activities. The staff were welcoming and friendly and nothing was ever too much trouble. The breakfast was ample with many choices available. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great location and friendly staff

To be greeted on arrival with an upgrade to a suite was an unexpected but very welcome surprise. The Amora is my go to hotel whenever I visit Chiang Mai. It has an excellent location just outside the old town walls and is within easy walking distance of the Tha Pae Gate, on the Eastern side of the old town, where you will find Walking Street set up on Saturday and Sunday evenings. The rooms are spacious (even without an upgrade). Hot water availability for the shower is good as is the water pressure. Car parking is available on site and is free.

Great location just outside Tha Pae Gate. Lots of choices at breakfast. Shower is in the bath but they have good pressure and hot water! King bed is comfortable. Pool was nice, may get busy during peak hours! Used to be a Rydges.
