Friendly reception. Tasty and filling breakfast especially the home made bread. Useful local imformatiom given about places to visit.

Everything about Church Villa speaks of exceptional attention to detail and anticipation of guests’ needs. The decor of the breakfast room and lounge (open fire) is cosy and welcoming, in keeping with the character of the property. A wide range of local information, games and toys is available in the lounge and on the guest landing, where there is also a small fridge. The bedrooms are well designed and spotlessly clean, with thoughtful touches such as a bath robe and hot water bottle (not needed, even though it was cold outside!). Breakfast is ordered in advance; it was excellent and incorporated local products. Above all the hosts, Hilary and Graham, clearly enjoy looking after their guests. I travelled by public transport; they met me at the bus stop and gave me a lift to my course the next day. I can not recommend Church Villa too highly and intend to return to enjoy the many picturesque local walks.

Extremely friendly and helpful owners. Knowledgeable about the area. Very accommodating in meeting any additional requirements. Food was local produce, homemade and always very fresh. Guest lounge with a open fire was very welcome on a cold dark night
