Room was nicer than expected for the price but still nothing special (not that it's expected). Staff on check-in were lovely. Exceptional service. Staff at checkout were a bit more callous, but thats business! No complaints Was charged a deposit equal to the amount 30 minutes after i booked, no prior warning or mention of it anywhere. They then charged my card on arrival. Im travelling for medical reasons, didnt bring a load of money because I didnt need to. This charge brought me below the amount i needed to book my train the next day, and i didnt get my money back til 3 hours after checking out. Missed my train, appointment in the hospital etc and had to book another hotel for the second night.

I cannot recall a single item to complain about. Bed was comfortable. Water pressure was strong. Facilities were spotless. Staff were busy, but helpful. Unusually, pots of Tea were available, which is a delight.

Comfortable room over-looking the old quarter. Quirky nouville chic decor. Easy lounge downstairs for a bit of work. Night staff great humour. Excellent breakfast selection.

Great location just a few minutes from the port room was big clean over looking the sea friendly staff breakfast was lovely coffee tea etc all in all I'd recommend the ambassador hotel to anyone looking for a hotel in cherbourg

Very comfortable hotel. Perfect location, close to a wide range of restaurants. An ideal place to stay either before or after taking the ferry 🙂

Very comfortable room. Tastelfully decorated. Excellent location, near the shoppong area and good choice of restaurants, and of course, 6 minutes to the car ferry!!

position of Hotel very accessible. rooms basic but clean. breakfast room modern. Best continental breakfast I've ever had. there is everything to choose from continental wise. even got a robot to take dishes away.
