This is an historical hotel. I loved the massive old wood beam - plus hand forged bolts - that ran along the ceiling. The breakfast is excellent; the hotel has a great cook(s).

All staff were very friendly and welcoming. Food was excellent, particularly what I presume was locally sourced bacon. Good choices on breakfast menu e.g eggs benedict as an alternative to full english. Earl Grey tea available which surprisingly is still not always the case on my travels!
