This was my third experience at an Ibis. The last one was at Kochi. The Kochi property was excellent value for money. I booked this one in Chennai with similar expectations. I'm not sure if I should say I was disappointed or not. The pros: Excellent location Great service by the reception staff. Lovely lady named Anjali was especially helpful. A gentleman named Krishna made sure my check in was quick despite the long queue... There's a touch of genuineness in the staff here.... there was a staff named Shobhana who kept a toddler entertained, even carrying him around, so the mother could eat in peace..... Room service and requests for top ups of tea, milk sachets were quick.... The rooms are minimalistic. Clean lines, uncluttered. Earthy tones of brick, beige and light browns.... Excellent mattress, duvet and pillows. Great reading lights. Ceiling lights were at the right level of brightness. Great AC. Great value for money on breakfast, with something for everyone, including some lovely ginger masala tea. Great choices for Vegans. I couldn't help smiling at a dish of soupy Maggi noodles in the buffet line .... Great choice of TV channels. SEALED bottled glass water bottles added a nice touch.

Oh, the food was delicious. I enjoyed the breakfast and loved the buffet dinner, the soup was awesome. I did even personally thanked the cooks. The staff were veryyy nice and made us comfortable at every moment. Even the hotel management came to ask if everything was okay from time to time. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Room was cozy. Support staff quick and excellent. They provided free cab to US consulate. Arranged quickly the pickup and drop to airport.
