Room was very comfortable and clean, great washing facilities the water pressure was great. TV was huge which is uncommon for hotels.

The cosy double was pretty small. Bed was comfy and lovely linen. Nice provision of water. Staff were attentive and pleasant. bar area was spacious and comfortable. Switching dates of our stay due to snowy weather was no trouble .

Lovely staff: from check in to departure, they were professional, courteous, and friendly. Cooked breakfast was superb - had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on both days. Room was lovely and warm. Breakfast was good but tomato vastly undercooked. We asked for brown sauce and told there wasn’t any left, lots of staff stood around, one could have popped to the shop to buy some! Felt that staff generally did the bare minimum required. The car park door was closed and could not be accessed from the car park side to get back into hotel so we had to walk around front of building to reception to check out. When we mentioned this to receptionist she oh it might be locked, you need to prop it open! Not v helpful in retrospect, a more helpful response would be, thanks for letting us know we will unlock it to prevent this happening again. It wasn’t the Malmaison experience we have received at other locations that’s for sure.
