My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ivy Hill. The breakfast was lovely. Our first morning we had it cooked to order then Sunday morning a buffet style which was also very good. What made the hotel even better were the members of staff who went above & beyond. A certain young lad called Louis at breakfast time was excellent. Plus the lovely man (I think his name was Shaun or Shane) who was the night porter, was fantastic from serving drinks til 1.30am & keeping the bar clean & tidy & letting us know a lot of information about the area. You could tell he really enjoyed his job & took it very seriously about keeping the people who were staying at the hotel very safe whilst we were sleeping at night. Both of these people I would highly recommend for the employee of the month! I would definitely stay here again in the future.

What a lovely little gem. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was more than adequate in size. The breakfast selection was very good for a small hotel. Check in and check out was very straightforward.
