Loved this historic hotel full of stories, memorabilia and character. It has stayed true to its history in terms of feel and interiors. Wonderful position on Chania coastline - close to bars and restaurants and about 15 mins walk to Venetian Port area. Great to talk to staff about the history of the hotel and Crete itself.

The most unique and wonderful hotel I have ever been to! And I have been to quite a few excellent ones, as well as quirky ones in my time, but this one just tops them all. The design; the generous sharing of family pictures on the walls, and the stories these pictures tell! The views. The location. The breakfast!! I felt so relaxed and at home from the very moment I stepped into the building. Vasso at reception was superb, making me feel welcome and giving great advise for places to go to in Chania. This hotel is just the dream!

Excellent customer service. Front desk helped us with many things including dinner reservations, directions to beach and town, beach towels, taxi, and so much more, including leaving breakfast tray with food the day before one of our early departure for a tour. Very helpful attentive and the breakfast is soooo good. Lots of variety and delicious!

Perfect location to explore the city and the wonderful beaches in the area. Very clean and daily maintenance is perfect. Breakfast is really good - variety of vegetables and fruits, eggs the way you like it, local pastries etc. Interior brings you back in history and tells you a story - a good reason to go and find out what it is 😉

The Doma was in a great location for easy to access the Old Town via a 15min walk along the front which was picturesque and had a wonderful atmosphere in the evening, with many bars and places to eat. There was a little bay that was delightful for a morning swim/snorkel and another small beach further along (Koum Kapi) used by locals daily (but a bit limited by the whims of the tide). Our room looked out to the sea and blue skies and it was a joy to open the shutters every morning. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and felt really approachable. Breakfast was of traditional Greek food which was hearty and enjoyable in both taste and authenticity. Situated in the upper floor, the breakfast room gave great views out to the bay and was decorated with much character, as was the entire building. The outside area and lounge were never too busy, and whilst small, were a calm place to be in the evening.

Lovely quirky hotel with bags of character and lots of history. Never stayed anywhere where I wanted to look at and explore the furniture and what was on the walls before! Good location a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk to the harbour or city centre. Interesting and friendly hosts with lots of advice and information to give you. Air conditioning worked well.
