Situated in Chamonix, at the foot of Mont Blanc and at the heart of the Alpine mountains, the Grand Hotel des Alpes offers unique accommodation. Guests have access to a number of DVD's in several languages, a private garage and a ski room with a shoe dryer.
The friendly and attentive staff welcome you in an elegant and familial atmosphere. Enjoy its stylish woodwork, comfortable lounge with a view of the Massif de Mont Blanc or relax at the bar next to the fireplace.
Guestrooms are warm and welcoming and furnished with style. They are all equipped with modern en suite facilities, satellite TV and free Wi-Fi internet access.
This lovely location allows guests the opportunity to appreciate the typical charm of the city centre and the enchanting surrounding area all year round.
The property is a ski pass vendor and also offers a free shuttle services to the Chamonix ski slopes upon request in winter.
Grand Hotel des Alpes is 650 metres from the AIguille du Midi cable car and guests are able to book guided mountain excursions or ski instructor sessions directly with the hotel.

Location Location Location .. sadly not ski in ski out however the hotel has a driver which takes you to all the slopes close by. Massive Thankyou to drive Mike - this gentleman was amazing over the new year period - super hard working and could do enough for us. Hotel Staff also that needs a massive Thankyou - Francesca - this lady was warm and caring Patrick - knowledgeable and kind Basically all the front of house staff - the daily questions we would fire at them and nothing was to much trouble. Always carrying bags, phones going, other guests waiting and still all remained happy and curious - the staff are outstanding and went above and beyond. From afternoon snacks in the reception area to evening nibbles with the fire burning away - all these little gestures and kindness truly made our stay. New Year’s Eve - hotel provided champagne, fresh sea food and a selection of high quality bite sized canapés - exceptional - what an evening ! Hello 2025. We would love to return. We were pleasantly surprised with the attention to detail - a beautiful spot !

Location excellent, the staff were very friendly and helpful- nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent. the small spa was brilliant after a long day in the mountains. our room was spacious, clean and the bed comfortable.

The location is very good, the bed and shower are great. The service, especially at the reception, is spectacular!!! The pool and sauna area are very stuffy and smelly. It would be better if it were an outdoor space. At night there is a lot of noise coming from the main street. It can be considered a 4-star hotel.

The best thing about the hotel was the staff- they were simply amazing! I arrived to the hotel with my mom who needed to see a doctor. Francesa and Phillipe could not have been more helpful and kind. They went above and beyond to help us. We couldn't get a taxi so Phillipe dropped us to the hospital. Francesa was so kind and caring. I would 100% return.
