We visited in the winter a magical time, next time we will visit in the summer to enjoy the outdoor terrace and pool. Spacious rooms, pet friendly and all staff so friendly and speak excellent English. Great views by night and day.

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past few years and it is always of a consistently high standard. The rooms are a good size and each one is totally unique, the beds are comfortable and of course everything is spotlessly clean. The facilities throughout are excellent - from the swimming pool, to the outdoor relaxation beds, and the cosy bar behind reception. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and nothing is too much trouble. The restaurant gastronomique is superb as along as you enjoy a fine dining experience - there is no menu (allergies and any dislikes are of course accommodated) and the chef creates a multi-course dinner for the evening from fresh produce - much of it from the property itself. Like all fine dining, it comes at a price, but there is another à la carte restaurant in the hotel if that is more your taste. It is advisable to book for either restaurant - the local people of Chambéry come here to eat in both restaurants which obviously says a great deal about the quality of the food. Also, do not be afraid to try the Chateau de Candie Viognier - it is excellent and very reasonably priced.

Wonderful location, tucked into woods and hills above Chambéry. It really is a Chateau, with the full complement of period features, but with all modern facilities as well. Room and bed were both huge and extremely comfortable. Fridge, kettle and coffee machine in the room were a nice extra. Breakfast copious and tasty, including perfect scrambled eggs. We didn’t use the spa or the pool, since we only stayed on night, but they were available.

The bed was so big and comfortable. The staff were exceptionally friendly which is always important. We speak limited French and they helped us understand everything. The rooms are large and unique The breakfast was delicious. Lovely continental
