Guests are advised to book a table in advance if they wish to dine in the restaurant during their stay.Please note that the restaurant has a 'smart casual' dress code. When dining, guests should refrain from wearing denim, shorts, or trainers and gentlemen must wear a collared shirt.Children are welcome to join us in the restaurant until 8.00pm, with last orders being placed by 7.00pm. As well as The Garden Menu for V.I.L.P (very important little people) smaller portions can be enjoyed from any of our 'grown up' menus.When booking 4 rooms or more, or 10 nights or more, different policies and additional supplements will apply.For prepaid rates, the card used to make the booking will be required on check-in. Breakfast was disappointing, dinner was lovely. Staff were wonderful, but, seemed a bit frazzled. Disappointing that no open fires were on, apparently there was an issue last year and they needed to be relined. We have an old house and have had this done - why have they not got this done over the Summer!!!???! Lovely location, no fridge in room and no air conditioning. Relaxing, old world charm, but, a bit pricey for what it is.

Immaculate service & comfortable quiet meant the perfect escape from the every day. We ate well and drank deeply. We putted, croqueted and tennised. We played giant spinning scrabble whilst having tea and biscuits. We walked hand in hand around the the grounds, we nearly fell in the water gardens and we dreamt about living here. And all the while the staff were quiet friendly and attentive.

Highly personalised service is the policy at this sublime establishment. Excellent standards in all areas, seamless from arrival to service, food and drink. Attention to detail throughout. Very peaceful and relaxing location.

hotel was very nice and well appointed. The grounds were picturesque, we played tennis in there courts, there was also croquet and a putting course.
