Hotel Overview

Inkungu Lodge, built of Lesotho Sandstone and thatch, surrounded by indigenous gardens and fronted by a sparkling rimflow pool, reflects and celebrates the fabulous views of the Central Drakensberg mountain ranges and colourful rolling hills of the Champagne Valley.
Antique historic furniture, remarkable artworks and thoughtful, attractive decor give a nostalgic charm to this tranquil and well appointed boutique hotel. Enjoy watching the vibrant sunsets from the poolside patio and bar.
Each room has it's own en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, enjoys air-conditioning, tea/coffee facilities, personal safe and hair-dryer and has TV and DSTV. Wifi, a good library, and selection of board games can be discovered in the many cosy lounges and hideaways in this pretty and comfortable country retreat. Every room has it's own poolside patio or view-drenched balcony.
Sumptuous breakfasts and excellent dinners are served in the dining room which opens onto the scenic poolside terrace.
Well situated in this touristically rich part of KZN, activities close by range from golf, fly fishing, bird watching, hiking, mountain climbing, horse riding and zip-lining to watching birds of prey, discovering more about bees and enjoying the beautiful voices of the famed Drakensberg Boys Choir School.

Extra size suite, with leather couches and coffee table, as well as private bar area with bar fridge and glass ware. Beautiful and very high end antique bed, cupboard and gentleman's chest of drawers, as well as a one of a kind desk and chair. This very attractive room also opens onto a personal balcony with lovely views of the gardens and mountains .

Double Room with Balcony. The signature cupboard, dressing table and two chairs were utilized by a British Colonel during the Boer war, on the foothills of Majuba. The double bed is queen sized and the room opens onto a personal balcony overlooking the pool and it's spectacular views.

Twin room with Patio, situated next to Room 1 and has two single beds which may be resolved into a King Size double bed if required. Private patio opens onto a north facing private garden.

Double Room with Patio has a queen size double bed. Spacious room opens onto the poolside patio, with outside seating under a spreading, shady fig tree filled with birdsong. Situated next to a twin (two single beds) so an excellent choice for a family.

This air-conditioned twin/double room is comprised of a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a private bathroom as well as a terrace with garden views. The unit has 2 beds.

Relaxed, friendly , amazing hosts , location close to Winterton , shops, and 1 hours drive to Nottingham Road . Also close to Falcon Ridge for the Birds of Prey show.

Amazing part of the world; the drive there wasn't a problem. The team were in constant communication from midday to check when we will be arriving and if we would be having dinner at the lodge. We arrived in the evening and Check in was a breeze. We really enjoyed the dinner; I highly recommend eating there. The same with breakfast; we had an amazing buffet breakfast; compliments to the chefs. The lodge is well kept with a nice balcony overlooking the mountains.

Well located, beautiful views of the mountains and a short drive to Monk Cowl where you can explore a verity of hikes.
