The owner was very eager to assist us in every matter. They responded immediately to our messages. Furthermore, the location was really convenient, as it was in the heart of the city, close to the main attractions, as well as all the major public transport stops. Large room, well lit, nice view.

This is the typical hotel, so there's no feeling like at home (like it happens when you're staying in apartments rented from people). Nevertheless ereverything was good. Comfy beds, hot water, typical Italian sweet breakfast. The biggest perk and the main reason for choosing the place is the location - right at the heart of Catania's main street.

I find it very difficult to give a correct score for this B&B because the experience can vary greatly from room to room. Years ago I stayed one night in Catania and ended up in a deprived area. This time I decided to spend more and stay in the city centre. The score given here is worthless. After all, I’m inclined to give a very good score for the welcome, the friendliness, the comfort, the cleanliness and the size of the room and bathroom, the breakfast, and the central location in the city. But there’s clearly a disadvantage. Before midnight I couldn’t sleep a wink and from 6 am there was again too much noise outside. This situation will vary greatly from room to room. I stayed in room number 5 (one double bed, one single bed and a modern bathroom). This room is located on the corner of the building with a view of, among other things, one tower of the cathedral. In one of the two streets there is continuous motorised traffic. The other street is a pedestrian paradise with masses of people until very late. It was a Friday night in September and both the noise from pedestrians and cars lasted until after midnight. Then I fell asleep. From 6 am (Saturday morning) the cars woke me up again. No idea what it's like on the other six days. Then there are three rooms (numbers 2, 3 and 4) that only have a window on the side of the pedestrian street. The noise from the cars will probably penetrate less there. So perhaps the problem will be less. Finally, you have rooms numbers 1 and 6 that only have a window on the inner courtyard. In other reviews you can read that the patio looks like a construction site or a junkyard. That's true. But it is very quiet there! Personally, I would prefer the silence and no nice view to having a view but not being able to sleep much. Travellers who you go to bed after midnight and get up very early, can of course stay in room number 5 … ... See further below ...
