Beautiful location to relax for a few days. Loved the outdoor pool (even though it was very cold) and the beach access! Views from the room were gorgeous. It was a nice getaway from the mainland. One of the reception staff, Quang, was so friendly and helpful for any queries we had! Do beware some of the floors are quite slippery, especially when wearing the room provided sandals! (Not even when wet) i fell in the indoor pool area and really bruised my knee. Also, with way the shower is designed the whole bathroom becomes a river so don't leave clothes on the floor haha Also, if you have dietary requirements you may find it difficult to get arrangements organised. I tried to organise a vegan option the night before a breakfast (which costs a large 360k VND), just one dish of Noodles, it was written down and everything by the lady working at the restaurant but the next morning it was like that conversation never existed and no one had any idea what I was saying, all they cared about was that I paid. Once I paid it was like I became a ghost and I sounded like a broken recording trying to figure out if they had a vegan friendly dish. I went looking at the buffet and found a vegan labelled noodles, but it was covered in egg (so not vegan), I raised this with what I remember was the manager or supervisor and they didn't seem to understand at all even with translate or care, no replacement was made so we spent a ridiculous amount of money for some toast and fruit which was a shame because all of the other buffet looked incredible. I couldn't stand to bring it up again with anyone at the restaurant as it seemed like they just didn't care so let the staff know about it on our check out which the staffed seemed very upset by and said he would relay that back.

Nice hotel with private beach. Room was clean and comfortable. During our stay was opened only one restaurant. I would welcome to have more options for eating.

If you are considering booking this resort, do it now! We had the absolute best experience here and it was great value for money. Firstly, it was not exactly easy to get to Cat Ba Island. We arrived at the Ben Binh Ferry terminal to discover it has been completely demolished. Don’t make the same mistake we did, just pay for a private bus company to transfer you. Once we arrived we were free upgraded to an amazing huge room with an incredible view. We were given free vouchers to use throughout the hotel and a couple free vouchers to use the buggy’s to get into the town. The resort is only a short walk into town but the complete beach front there is under construction therefore we spent a decent amount of time in the resort. The included breakfast buffet was fantastic and had a great variety of foods. The resort has 2 beaches to choose from, yes two! There are interconnecting bridges to get between the towers, it’s very easy. I chose to have a facial and massage in the spa and loved it. We also had the Japanese onsen included in our rooms which was a great surprise and used it every day, we loved it! The food is not cheap but it’s not crazily overpriced either. We chose to have the dinner buffet twice and were pleasantly satisfied. There are also 2 outdoor pools to swim in and an indoor pool which came in handy when the weather was cold. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We will definitely be coming back!

Amazing hotel, it is worth it's money. It was 4 of us, We booked 2 rooms: 1 ocean view, another mountain view. It was the best ocean view I've ever seen! Mountain view is also good - mountain with jungles on it felt so huge, as if you are above abyss. Room is standard size, clean, with comfortable bed. The bathroom is also good. There are 3 buildings - they are connected with Skybridge full of flowers, so you don't even need to go outside to access another building premises. We lived in 2nd building, but all the premises, restaurants, pools of another buildings were accessible for us also. Spa (Onsen) zone is superb - 7 small pools with different temperature, 2 saunas. There is also very nice 4 season pool at the same floor. We arrived during low season, it was about 18-20C outside, the sea was cool, so inside pool was quite a joy for us. Each building has it's own small bay, which gives you 2 nice sandy beaches with clean water. Breakfast is great - buffet with wide choice of dishes both local and European cuisine. In our building breakfast took place on 17th (!) Floor and it had a big terrace outside, you can imagine a wow view from there. Hotel is 10 min walk from the town where you can find caffes, massage, shopping, etc. However there is hotel golf car that takes you to the town and back if needed - we were granted 1 free round trip per day. If you use more, I guess there is some payment.

Location and ambience were fantastic. Very good activities for kids. Facilities were exceptionally good. The only problem we faced was regarding food as we are pure vegetarians from India.

We were in the 2nd tower, Grand Tower, which is located between two cliff outcrops on Cat Co 2 beach. The beach was beautiful and kept very clean, with lots of equipment for hire.  Unfortunately didn't get chance to use the outside 'pool' as weather not appropriate. The location was perfect for Cat Ba Town and tours going from there (a 10 minute walk) whilst not being affected by the major building work going on. Our 'suite' was fabulous. It had an amazing view over the beach into Lan Ha Bay with the karsts and a family of black kites. So much space! a massive bed, large bathroom with seperate loo, shower and freestanding bath; small kitchen (which you weren't allowed to use 🤷🏼‍♀️ except for kettle and 'fridge) plus a seating/dining area too.  Breakfast was taken in the Sun Lounge on the 17th floor, extremely varied choice to suit multiple dietary requirements; would have to be very picky to not find anything! Best bread in 3 weeks (multi seeded granary in addition to standard white baguette), although relatively limited fruit options compared to that over the past 3 weeks - ie no bananas, pineapple or mango. Also, for a coffee loving nation, the coffee was dire. Moving between the buildings is either via the SkyWalks on 11th floors which are fabulous, or (novelty) going outside and  walking the road. Service was as we came to expect, with a good greeting upon arrival; not a lot of English but Google Translate works well. I also enjoyed the Onsen very much.

The staff are simply incredible. Nothing is too much trouble. Rachel at the front office was simply amazing and could not do enough to help us enjoy our stay. The evening buffet is fantastic, and breakfast also exceeded our expectations. A wonderful breakfast buffet.
