Great location, short walk to the ferry port and not too far to walk into town.Room was comfortable and we loved the view of the bay from the window. Breakfast was fair and filling. A roof terrace would have been an added bonus. Also a bath mat for steeping out of the open shower.

I had such a lovely stay! The owners and staff are incredibly kind and welcoming – you can really feel they care. They made me feel right at home from the very first moment.They’re always happy to help with anything you need, at any time. The breakfast was amazing, offering plenty of delicious options. The area is so peaceful and quiet, with beautiful views that make you want to stay longer. Truly a special place – I would happily come back anytime!

A great part of Cat Ba to stay in close to the water, especially while all the construction is happening on the island. The staff were very accommodating and helpful in booking a tour.

This was a lovely hotel run by a very nice family where we stayed for 2 nights. The location was good; close to the boat launch and away from the construction in the main town. Good restaurants were a 20 minute walk or a short grab. It was quiet and comfortable

I had an unforgettable experience at this property! The location is absolutely perfect, offering a breathtaking view of the bay right from the room. It’s an ideal spot to unwind and soak in the natural beauty. The place was spotless and well-maintained, which made for a very comfortable stay. The programs they offer are top-notch—especially the plankton tour with Tyler, which was a unique and mesmerizing experience. They also provide scooter rentals, making it super convenient to explore the area at your own pace. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for the best combination of comfort, adventure, and stunning views!

The view on the bay is as shown on the pictures: beautiful. Very nice host. Delicious breakfast. A little outside busy Cat Ba in a quieter area, close to the port where the boats for Halong bay leave. Definitely book the boat tour the host is proposing: beautiful day trip through Halong Bay at very reasonable price.

Dung Lai Hotel is a wonderful place to stay in Cat Ba, and I’m so glad I chose it. The hotel is incredibly peaceful, making it perfect for those looking to escape the city’s hustle and bustle. A big highlight is the beautiful ocean view, which gave me a relaxing start to each day and stunning sunsets in the evening. Conveniently located near the center, it’s easy to get to popular spots around the island. The owners are local, very friendly, and incredibly welcoming. They even invited me to join them for meals with local dishes, making me feel right at home. This warm hospitality made my stay especially memorable.
