Apartment Overview

Located in the Lancashire village of Tewitfield, Carnforth, these luxury holiday apartments and townhouses have free private parking. A country pub features on site and views of the marina can be enjoyed from most of the apartments.
Features include flat-screen TVs with Freeview, a DVD player. There is also a fully-fitted kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine.
Tewitfield Marina Aparthotel is on the Lancashire and Cumbria border, less than 30 minutes drive from the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales.

Apartment was spacious enough for a family of 2 adults and 2 children. Bedrooms a good size with storage, and 2 bathrooms plus a toilet downstairs. Kitchen was ok, just used as a base really so only had breakfast there and didn't use it for making meals. Apartment looks out and has doors to the Marina, ducks and swans regularly pottering around in the water. Can walk along the canal towpath - which has improved since last year, better surface and less muddy/boggy - there was work on improving it further down than we reached. On a nice autumn day a walk along the towpath is pleasant. Location wise - its very close to the M6 and you can hear the traffic when walking about but inside there is no noise. It is very convenient for Carnforth, Silverdale, Arnside and the southern lakes (Grange over sands, Windermere) which are a relatively short drive away as are Morecambe and Lancaster. Sizergh castle (national trust) 20 mins away Longlands pub/hotel next to the marina, wasn't cheap but the food was really good. Also the Royal at Bolton-le-sands was great for food. Tesco, Aldi, Booths, Co-op in Carnforth for your supermarket needs. Plenty of parking available on site, no designated parking space so you can end up walking 50-100m if there are no parking spaces available outside the apartment. Overall we enjoyed the stay and loved the convenience as a base. There is a farm shop very close by but it would probably require driving there.
