Perfect location a couple of blocks from Ocean Ave and up the hill so close to restaurants. Big, comfortable bed. Nice wine and nibbles reception at 4.30 - 6pm. Always refilled regularly. Breakfast was good, with something hot each day as well as cereals, fruit and bagels.

Good clean rooms with a pretty spacious layout. Rather modern (but not overly so) in comparison to contemporary Carmel places.

Coachman’s Inn is the perfect stop if you're doing the Pacific Coast Highway road trip. Carmel is a beautiful and safe small town, and this hotel is right in the heart of it. You can easily explore the town center on foot, with plenty of great cafes and restaurants nearby. We loved the happy hour wine tasting, the jacuzzi, and the secure parking. Breakfast was filling and a great start to the day. The room was well-equipped with everything we needed. It’s also close to the entrance of the 17-Mile Drive, and Monterey is just a short drive away.

Huge bed, as pictured, great breakfast, warm and friendly staff, very close to the main street so lots of dinner options. Offered red velvet cookies on arrival. The lady at reception was very lovely and helpful!
