Bed and Breakfast Overview

Less than 3 miles from the historic centre of Canterbury, this luxury B&B enjoys a rural setting within its own oak woodland. It offers en suite rooms with free Wi-Fi and plenty of off-road parking for all guests.

The fine print
Directions from the A2: exit the A2 after the BP garage signposted Upper Harbledown. Oakside Lodge is 800m on the left.
Alternatively, from Canterbury head along the A2050 Rheims Way and straight on through traffic lights. Take the next right-hand turn onto Wingate Hill, signposted for Upper Harbledown. Continue through the village and keep going until you see the Oakside Lodge sign on your right.

Most incredible host Stuart. Beautiful land and lovely animals. So warm and cosy but still spacious. Delicious breakfast. Will definitely be returning.

The owners are a fabulous couple. Stuart, took the time to explain what their arrangements were and the ethics of how they operated, before I had even arrived at the lodge. Nothing was too much trouble and every detail was orchestrated with cheerful and friendly professionalism to ensure our stay would be personally tailored to our needs. The rooms were exactly as they were hoped to be, warm, clean and comfortable and the bed would satisfy the standards of goldilocks. The grounds are tranquil and serene making a forest walk a must and the piggies were pure delight. We were given permission to feed them and Stuart took the time to explain how they were raised in every detail. I might consider having my own sometime down the line.

Easy to find, convenient location for Canterbury. Really comfy bed and friendly welcoming host. We didn’t stay long enough for breakfast but based on other reviews, we’ll need to make sure we do next time.

The lodge was in a good location. Easy to find and very convenient for Canterbury. The room was clean and tidy, with selection of tea and coffee in room. Stuart was attentive to our needs and made us feel welcome. Cooked breakfast was good.
