Hotel The Astor - All Suites Hotel Candolim Goa (formerly The Astor Goa)

This hotel is no doubt beautiful and the interior/aesthetic is stunning. It’s exactly like the pictures as one would expect for a hotel this new think opened end of 2023. Stunning rooms, big spacious room and bathroom, lovely size separate lounge, 2 TV. Great AC and ceiling fans. Extremely comfy bed and pillow choices. Great breakfast also,it’s of fresh made choice to order, I’m fussy with food but the breakfast catered for everyone. The hotel staff (bar/restaurant) couldn’t do enough for you. Reception staff also good but no way near as helpful or assertive as the other workers here. Location was great for peace and quiet (which we wanted) not on the main streets to hear all the traffic and noise of people/bars/restaurants. With it being set back a few streets it is a good 8-10min walk to the Main Street then 15/20min to beach depending on speed and how hot it is. The hotel does offer a free shuttle car service down to a couple of drop of spots to beach huts very helpful and handy which we used this every other day no problems at all. The only constructive criticism I would give the hotel is cost of things so be warned cost of food especially alcohol is not cheap. It’s obviously cheap as your India but due to being a new hotel etc it was the most expensive place we found to eat and drink. Whilst food and drinks are very nice here, there plenty of nice places to eat and drink on the main strip for 1/3 of the price (just do your research on trip advisor, we was lucky and never got the dreaded Delhi belly everyone gets the whole time) As this hotel do add alarming charges, alcohol tax, service charge and additional fees which just seemed to mount up. If you ordered simple meal and drinks by the pool was fair prices for the quality about £12/13 but by the time the hotel added all fees was nearly £18/19. Overall, would highly recommend this hotel and I would stay here again.

The Astor Goa is the jewel of Candolim. The suites are comfortable and spacious. We had a room with a high balcony overlooking the pool, which was probably the best spot for us. The free minibar is a nice touch. Although the pool area is small it is constantly being cleaned and the floor is kept dry it is a relaxing area to while away the day. All the staff are very friendly and happy to help, from the restaurant staff, to housekeeping, reception and of course the security staff, we were always greeted when we entered and left the hotel by Kaushal one of the security staff. Shops, restaurants and ATM’s are a few minutes walk away.

Nice hotel, comfortable rooms and a nice pool and restaurant. Service was excellent and the food good too. Drop to/from beach service provided else its a 10-15mins walk.

Had a wonderful stay at the Astor. Given upgrade to a lovely suite which was unexpected but really appreciated. Can’t fault the staff in this hotel, every one greeted you with a smile and couldn’t have sone more to make our first stay in Goa special. The breakfast was amazing with so many choices with the option of speciality cooking. Restaurant staff went out of their way to provide an excellent service. The hotel is exceptionally clean, the pool Area was nicely laid out however, beanbags for sunbeds? I’m sure the hotel could provide something better as it’s not very practical and hard to get out of is you have limited mobility. There was an evening in the pool where guests were experiencing a soundbar whilst floating on mats in the pool while a musician played calming chime type music.This looks great and we would have definitely booked todo this had we been informed this was on offer. Perhaps a flyer under the bedroom doors might have helped guests to be aware of activities that were available. All in all we couldn’t have asked for a nicer hotel and welcoming staff. We will definitely booked todo this here again if we were to revisit Goa. Well done Astor suites

The room was a good size with a separate seating area. The cleaning staff were very good. Overall the service was very good and we really liked how friendly the staff were. We would particularly like to thank Mamta, Divya and Avtar. I also had a massage which was very good. The hotel was conveniently located near to a number of beaches and the hotel offered complimentary drop offs to the beaches which was a good extra service and greatly appreciated.

Can’t fault this hotel at all. Totally lived up to expectations. The staff are exceptional, too many to name individually here, but Avtar, Joy, Niraj and Divya from reception, Amisha, Sachin, Dominic and Joseph from Deck 88, Tarit and Shaziia at the pool bar and Sipu at the pool to name just a few. Room was excellent and beds were the most comfortable I’ve had in any hotel. The food was amazing and the service all around was first class. The free transfer to the beach was fast and really convenient. We have already decided that we will return here as it was that good!!! Thank you to all the staff at The Astor for making our holiday the best we’ve had in many years
