The fine print
From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. The staff were AMAZING! They fell over backwards to meet my needs and were personable. I felt a great connection with them. All trips, be jungle walks or changes in travel plans were expertly handled and functioning on a ‘you only need to see once’ policy. The turn down service was added a special touch to my stay. The room was spacious and an extremely comfortable bed. The gym was a bonus with a lot of equipment, well supplied with towels and fresh lemon/orange water. I liked working out alongside the exec assistant, someone else to huff and puff with.

Really nice british-styled hotel and rooms. Nice room service, they even closed our window blinds while we were out for dinner. Afternoon tea was nice, breakfast was a selection of dishes that were prepared for order. They also offer complimentary walks, around 2 hours talking about the history and nature around the hotel.

The staff were excellent - Ravi and Kirtan the waiters went out of their way to make our stay great. They were very helpful. Also Madi, your naturalist, was an excellent guide. He was able to share his vast knowledge with us in a warm and friendly way making our walk really enjoyable. Please thank these three members of staff who were wonderful.

The hotel is charming and cozy, situated opposite the golf course. My Junior Suite was spacious and well maintained. Having a separate powder room with wash basin and wc, in addition to the proper bathroom was a pleasant surprise. As was having the cool fresh air ducted into the room through ceiling vents. Most would think it was air conditioning, except when it gets chilly in the wee hours of the morning, it cannot be turned off. A special mention to the alert doormen of the hotel. One evening when we returned to the hotel and it was raining, the doorman on duty came to our parked car with a pair of umbrellas as we got out of the car! By the second day, the staff who served us at breakfast, remembered how we take our coffee and juice. the front desk staff were also always friendly and cheerful. The afternoon high tea at the Jim Thompson lounge was exceptional! Refined finger sandwiches, dainty cakes and delicious freshly baked scones with homemade strawberry jam.
