Hotel Overview

Situated in the centre of Cambridge, with valet parking near the edge of the River Cam, The Varsity Hotel and Spa offers modern rooms, and an impressive rooftop terrace with uninterrupted views.
Each room is named after a different Cambridge college, and features an LCD TV, DVD library, free Wi-Fi, and an iPod dock. Most rooms offer monsoon showers and under-floor heating. Some rooms have balconies and views of the college rooftops.
Inspired by traditional Cambridge, The Varsity offers guests access to the Glassworks Gym and Spa, with hot tub, steam room, sauna and exercise classes.
The hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from Kings College Chapel, Trinity College, and the majority of the Cambridge colleges. The Grand Arcade shopping centre is 10 minutes’ walk away, and there are a number of restaurants, bars and cafes close by.

Perfect location, comfortable room and lovely spa facilities, staff were all very helpful and friendly, rooms was very comfortable, although a tad updating would ve improved the review from very good to perfect.

This was a superb stay for my husbands birthday the little cake treat in the room was a lovely touch. Everything was lovely and clean,rooms immaculate and staff were all lovely. We enjoyed the complementary use of Spa facilities which again was lovely and clean and both myself and my husband had an enjoyable time.

Views from the restaurant were spectacular. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable, clean and bright. The hotel is situated in a perfect location. Outstanding!

The hotel is in a great location and close to all the restaurants / bars / colleagues and shops!! Menu and food itself in the hotel restaurant on the 6th floor was amazing!! Best food I’ve tasted outside of London.
