Beautiful historic house set is lovely tranquil gardens with lots of private seating areas. Comfortable beds and linen and amazing strong showers and bathrobes. Really appreciated the kettle, fridge and basic kitchen facilities in our room for making up picnic lunches. The garden was beautiful lit up at night - a magical oasis. The pool is cold - but I still loved my bracing swims before hot showers. Berta is so warm and friendly and makes wonderful breakfasts. She also made us a traditional Madeiran dinner since she was cooking for a large group (€25 pp for 3 courses). Good location for visiting local attractions and then returning to a calm setting. We really loved our stay here and experiencing a bit of local traditional Madeira.

Beautiful house with fantastic garderns and a charming feel. Loved the decor and a tasty breakfast woth much option. Great room with lovely views of the gardern, clean & tidy with big king bed made up every day . Delicious food locally with even better poncha (Adega do Pomar). Good location to get into funchal and to explore surrounding central, northern, easten and southen walks/hikes. We e coming back to next time. Loved our stay.

We had an amazing stay in villa! It looks so authentic, done with heart and soul. Amenities, location, pool area, Berta’s breakfasts with homemade cakes and jams were great! highly recommend villa for a cozy stay.

+ Delicious breakfast, + wonderful common areas, + cleaning every day, + beach towels, + we had room with an access to the garden, which was an ideal for a kid, pleasant personal, + villa is located near the bus stop which was great for us, as we didn't rent any car.
