Really excellent hotel - all staff we encountered were polite and they all work so hard. Location is lovely, we got a train from Barcelona which was easy. Right by the beach and lots of nice shops and squares. Excellent food options as well and our room was large and clean. The whole hotel was very clean and staff were constantly cleaning and polishing etc. I don't really understand any of the bad reviews and would disagree wholeheartedly with them - maybe certain people looking to get drunk and just eat chips? We loved the local Catalan cuisine and ate things like veal and monkfish and smoked octopus - the food is incredible. The fresh meat at lunch and dinner from the grill is a nice touch and also fried eggs at breakfast makes a real difference. There really is a lot of choice at all meal times. We absolutely loved the paella and it was some of the best we have had; not what we were expecting at a hotel! Yes they have a 2 drink rule order at a time....but you have two hands, so how can you have more than 2 drinks at a time? There were cocktails of the day which I thought was a lovely touch and the wonderful bar staff really kept the drinks flowing. They gave us a bottle of champagne and some treats for our anniversary and we will definitely be back for a peaceful and welcoming stay. We honestly could not fault anything and would recommend this hotel to all of our family and friends. If you want a British experience in Spain, maybe stick to Benidorm!

In bad need of Update. The drains in the bath were rusty there was mould on the Ceiling in the bathroom. I stayed here almost 20 years ago. And very little has changed or been updated since then.. Breakfast was very basic, not much of a Selection unless you like sugary muffins, croissants, etc.

Traveled to do the Ironman triathlon. Location good but a very noisey area at night from local clubs.

Excellent location, close to everything, including the beach, the train station is a 15 minute walk if you’re thinking of going to Barcelona for the day, nice walk through the old town. Smooth check in and out for us. Our room was lovely, on the 7th floor, a superior room with a view over the pool, lovely balcony, cleaned daily and the bed was really comfy. Staff were really nice, friendly and helpful.

Not much to be honest, the pool only had 20-30 sun beds, same people on beds all week, hundreds disappointed.

The hotel is located in very centre of Calella, close to the main beach, shops, restaurants, public transport (bus), but not so close to train station. Regarding food, we had half board and for dinner or lunch (you may choose between dinner or lunch and this is a big pro) there was good choice, different dishes every day. Not the same for breakfast, it was the same food every morning. Anyway you won't stay hungry.
