The shuttle bus into the night market was brilliant - we would’ve been getting taxis if it wasn’t for it because the location is too far to walk. The happy hour was great value, but would be better if it was a bit later, even from 4-5pm.

Shuttles into and back from town every 30 min was really useful. Very near to the botanical gardens and esplanade. Lots of activities for those who want them, free pancakes for breakfast on Sunday. Laundry facilities were great. Free bike hire (3 hours)

In Cairns Summer House is always my partners first choice for staying. We had driven down so had a car which made getting closer into the city easier, plenty of parking and felt safe leaving the car. Staff are 10/10 friendly and welcoming, answered every little question. My partner arrived ahead of my and on the day of my arrival we had booked a private room, staff were helpful in letting him leave his luggage and move into the new room as soon as they got it ready. Bar is great, pool is chilly but good for the tropics, large outdoor seating spaces. Washers and clothes lines were super perks too. I did the free yoga, which was lots of fun and freeing, I'd run a 10km the weekend prior so this was much needed and my body was grateful. Overall the community feel of this place beats anywhere else I've stayed in Cairns, down to fellow travellers and staff surprising both me and my partner with cupcakes for his birthday!

Everything ok. Kind staff, well located (with the shuttle bus every 30 minutes), clean, cool rooms (though a little small but it was ok).

Pool table, bar and poolside seating were all good. Had a room upgrade at check-in which was very impressive and welcoming.
