The service was extremely slow and non timely. The rooms were not very clean especially when the beds were moved around it had lots of dust and dead cockroaches The restaurant backyard was really good and value for money The pool was also nice and kid friendly sections available

Location Just next door to the Reef Terminal and The pier lots of dining options A short walk to the Esplanade Swimming pool concept is excellent as it spread bathers to different areas. Good toiletries and tea and coffee selection very good

Large rooms with balcony sea view. Lovely en suite bathroom. Great breakfast. Lovely staff. Especially MeV who was a wandering manager and very knowledgeable and helpful.

This is a very well located hotel in Cairns with stunning sea views (if you have a sea view room!). The room was large and generally in good condition and the staff were friendly. The hotel is more of a resort style (as is sometimes the case with Shangri-La) and there is often a little walk to your room, but not too bad. Parking was initially a little confusing - a mall is also within the complex - your best bet is to pay the hotel valet to do this. This hotel was very good value for money and we enjoyed our stay in it.

Loved this hotel. The location is beautiful, right on the water. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly, the room was very clean and the bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was very good and we ate dinner twice, good selection of Asian food and reasonably priced.
