Beautifully restored Tudor house, sensitively rebuilt and refurbished. We couldn't fault the attention to detail: tapestry hangings, opulent curtains and lovely furnishings, to name a few. Adrian and Christine were great hosts, very welcoming and friendly. We'll definitely stay again when we return to Caerphilly.

We stayed in the Edward Lewis room. The room is beautiful and very spacious, as is the bathroom. The four-poster bed was deluxe. There was a full size sofa in the room, an armchair, a full wooden wardrobe, and a tea and coffee making facility. The bathroom had a luxurious bath and a separate shower. The windows were beautiful, and we had a side view of the grounds. Everything was sparkling clean.

Beautifully renovated manor house with views and within walking distance of the town. The property has lots of character and is of local historical interest. Large comfortable rooms and full Welsh breakfast served in an impressive dining room. The place is run by people who care about the property and their customers.

The overall ambience was incredible, credit to the owners. A period building that has been sympathetically been brought into the 21st century without loosing any of the traditional feel. It was perfect, everything meet our expectations

Amazing from arrival to depature. We didn't want to leave! We stayed in the Green Lady room and it was so quiet! Room was clean and the room had everything needed. One of the best sleeps I have had. The building decor was very beautiful and breakfast was fresh. Would happily stay again! We recieved a warm welcome and hosted with some historical knowledge. I can honestly not praise my experience enough!

My husband booked Y Fan for our Anniversary, what a beautiful place. We are both very happy with our stay. Y Fan is steeped in history. The mansion is lavishly decorated and the room was very comfortable. I was at first worried there was no window, just a skylight, as I suffer with anxiety. I felt completely settled in this room, it has a high ceiling and I think this helped. I would be happy to stay in this room again. The owners couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The breakfast was just perfect, we filled out our menu request the night before and there was so much choice, all included with the overnight price.
