Paxton Cottage are a welcome treat when in Burra. Old Miners Cottages are decked out lovely. Plenty of room and fresh and clean. Great location to walk to centre of town in 2 minutes. Glad we chose to stay here

Given we were visiting Burra as part of ancestry tourism, it was quite charming to stay in old cottages originally built by the mining company. The rooms were spacious and the supplies sufficient for our needs. Parking was easy and the location was close to the heart of Burra hotels and shops.

Burra is a unique location. Seeing the old cottages renovated and re-purposed was very gratifying. The white washed walls and use of original stone was sensitive to the age of the buildings. While it was a little noisy by the main road, it wasn't enough to deter our enjoyment of the unit we stayed in. Loved the privacy of the central grassed area, too.
