If you have opportunity, then choose a room with a cathedral view. We were lucky enough to be on the 5th floor with a view of the cathedral that very few people will get - fantastic. The staff couldn't be more helpful and the room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was good, especially the orange juice. The hotel also has secure parking located near by.

Fabulous location, friendly helpful staff, comfortable bed. Spotlessly clean throughout. Decor in the section I was in is a bit ‘olde worlde’ but that’s fine.

The breakfast was really good, all the staff were lovely and we got a cathedral view. The only tiny petty detail was we had single beds rather than a double but they were really comfy.

With a cathedral view Crisol Mesón del Cid is nestled in the heart of historic Burgos and easy to get to from Rosa Lima Railway Station - just wait for a taxi, they soon arrive in time for departures and arrivals and the fare is €12. Decorated in a traditional fashion in keeping with the city and history the hotel was warm and comfortable and the bedroom very spacious with the perfect view of the cathedral. You can hear a pin drop it was so quiet - perfect for a good night’s sleep. Bathroom was well supplied and toasty considering January morning temperatures were 0-2°C Breakfast was superb with friendly serving staff and vegetable milks and a decent attempt to cater for those with allergens is to be commended. Thank you for taking care of us during our stay - would definitely recommend 🇪🇸👏🏽

Overall, the hotel is very good. The breakfast is one of the best I have ever had in Spain.
