Let's be honest, you are checking this place out because it is the cheapest, takes credit card payment without hidden fees, and it's in the center of Buenos Aires' business district, close to San Telmo market and the Obelisco. That's what you will get, exactly that. The location is brilliant, we walked everywhere, plus you have two metro exits just one block away. A 24/7 supermarket not far and a taxi stand just in front. The staff was brilliant, they are very kind and chatty. They will help you out getting a taxi at an awesome rate to the airport and give you recommendations of where to eat in Buenos Aires. The place has hostel rooms too, so there are people around and you will have a chance to meet other travelers, or just go easy into your room. One of the main things is that Argentina has different exchange rates, and many places will not accept credit cards or will include additional taxes. However, this hostel accepts cards, and the price they tell you is what you get.
