The fine print
• In all cases, the hotel will apply the current exchange rate to the MEP dollar on the day of payment.
• Please note that guests must present a valid passport, Mercosur ID card, or Immigration form as proof of compliance with the National Immigration Act N° 25871 at check-in. Their stay in Argentina must not exceed three months.
• Please note that twin, queen, or king size may accommodate guests in different types of bedding. Guests must tell in advance which kind of bedding they would prefer. Only the Deluxe Suite can accommodate extra beds.
• Early check-in and late check-out policies: The check-in time is 3:00 PM. Check-in before that hour must be booked the night before. The check-out time is at noon. Check-out after that hour must be booked the night before. Until 5:00 PM, guests must pay 50% of the last night´s rate. After 5:00 PM, guests must pay 100 % of the last night´s rate.
• Please note that based on local tax laws, all Argentinian citizens and resident foreigners must pay an additional fee (VAT) of 21%. Only foreigners who pay with a foreign credit card, debit card, or via bank transfer are exempt from this 21% additional fee (VAT) in accommodation and breakfast when presenting a foreign passport or a foreign ID along with a supporting document handed by the national migrations authority, if applicable.Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

We were divided between staying at a boutique place of a similar price range and at the Alvear Palace, which is a grande dame of Buenos Aires. We chose Alvear Palace as we wanted to experience it. It is a lovely old hotel and we were in a junior suite, which has ample room (but rather sparsely decorated, which did not fit the general ambiance of the hotel) and the bedding was less comfortable than expected. Service is also impersonal. We are happy we stayed there but will sadly not choose it next time.

breakfast was reasonable only down side, limited spread and the same all 3 days we stayed appreciated frsh fruit and juices and cappucino. etc charges to order omelettes, eggs , pancakes, waffles etc. room was nice and clean bedding and sheets were excellent

Enjoyed the breakfast, the food was good and there were no lines. The room was large and comfortable, as well as quiet. Central location. Overall a classic and comfortable hotel.
