Hotel Overview

Fully renovated in 2013, the Medos Hotel is situated off Andrássy Avenue, just 100 metres away from Liszt Ferenc tér and the Oktogon Metro Station. Wi-Fi is available for free.
All rooms feature a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. The private bathrooms come with a bath or shower. All rooms are air-conditioned, and some have a balcony with views of the city.
Most of Budapest's main sights are reachable within a 5- to 10-minute walk from the Medos Hotel. These include the Opera House, the Danube River and the Saint Stephen's Basilica.

Location and aspect looking into a square. Close to restaurants and coffee bars. You could open your window wide to get fresh air. Did not feel claustrophobic

The breakfast was plentyful and excellent. Could do with more baguette type bread. Location near Oktogon tram and metro stop was very convenient. Operetta theatre close by.

The hotel is located in an excellent area. The staff was very friendly, and I really appreciated their good English skills. Breakfast was delicious. I paid extra for a parking spot (which needs to be reserved in advance), and I’m very glad this option was available. The only minor issue was that the room didn’t have the option to open a window for ventilation. However, this is a small detail, especially during the winter. Otherwise, everything was great! :)

Location was about 1 1/2 from river but fairly central to most other attractions. Had a great balcony view on 9th floor. Definitely worth paying little extra for that.
