Hostel Overview

In the centre of Budapest, the Maverick City Lodge hostel is 750 meters from the Deák Ferenc Tér transfer station for all 3 city’s metro lines; it features air-conditioned rooms, free WiFi in all areas, and on-site free bicycle rentals.
Each private room at the Maverick is equipped with a large flat-screen cable TV with more than a 100 channels, while dormitory rooms come functionally furnished. Bathroom facilities can be ensuite or shared with other guests.
A spacious common room and a well-equipped, freshly renovated shared kitchen are at guests’ disposal, and free coffee and tea making facilities are available. The reception is open 24/7. Airport shuttle, laundry and ticket services are offered at an additional cost. Padlocks for the lockers are available for purchase at reception.
Buffet breakfast is available every morning at the property. Please contact reception for further information.
We provide baby-friendly equipment upon request (subject to availability). Our property is also dog-friendly.
Maverick City Lodge is located on the popular Kazinczy Street with a variety of bars, restaurants and shops within a 100-meter reach. The Gozsdu Court is 200 meters away, while the Váci Street is reachable in 900 meters.
Many Budapest attractions are also within an easy reach on foot. The Dohány Street Synagogue is 350 meters away, while the Danube River is 1 km from the property.

I would lie to say thank you to the staff Dániel Pas for being kind and open enough to talk to me and give me advice on my trip. I would also like to thank all the keepers (although I’m not able to give their names) for the efforts they put in to keep the kitchen and the bathroom clean, they’re all hardworking and friendly, one of them even taught me how to use the coffee machine even though she didn’t know how to speak English. This is my best experience of staying in a hostel, and that all thanks to the people who work here.

Good vibe and excellent choice for it's location in the heart of the city and nightlife. Street was busy at night but there was no noise in the room. Breakfast at the nearby partner restaurant was very good with choice.

Loved the rooms and stay. The room was air conditioned. The place has a good kitchen area where you can cook or even read during night. The bathroom was nice, clean. Loved the showers which had decent pressure and the hand shower is something I really appreciate wherever I stay.
