“Perfectly relaxing mountain getaway.”
19 Jan 2025
The rooms are very clean and cozy, everywhere smells great. Many little nooks to sit privately with friends. The use of the great room for games and snacks, with the beautiful view, is not to be missed Hiking outside on the grounds is a truly refreshing mountain experience Breakfast in the morning was wonderful, starting with fresh coffee, fruit, then homeade group dishes

We loved this place. It is old and mostly stuck in the seventies, but completely relaxed and charming and welcoming. We enjoyed the tranquility. Anybody who is suffering from stress can go here and be instantly cured. Great breakfast. Good beds. We are coming back if we can.

“Experience the beauty of wilderness without camping”

We had a family reunion for 3 families there. The hotel is very nice and has some rich history of its own. It has a feel-at-home atmosphere. Staff are great. Owners are great and accommodative. The road to the hotel has some amazing scenic views. The breakfast was delicious. Rooms are cozy and comfortable. It is gets very quite at nigh. WiFi is great. Beds are comfortable. The Photo attached shows the look right outside our room. The hotel is in the middle of a forest so do not be surprised if you woke up one day with wild life outside. There are free several snacks available during the day along with coffee/tea and hot water. Rooms do not have mini fridges or microwave. There is a microwave and a fridge available at the common area next to the kitchen outside in case you want to heat up or store something. The hotel is ~ 20 mins from Hinton and is approx 1 and half hour drive from most of Jasper attractions. To me driving isn't an issue but some people do not like driving so you need to take that into account. The place is kind of remote. One has to drive approx. 15 mins after we exit from highway 16. The last few mins of the drive is on an unpaved road. The whole road has forests on both sides. So returning late at night was kind of dangerous with all the wild life there. We made sure to return while there is still daylight to be able to see clearly. Also being in the middle of the forest brings load and loads of bugs. So make sure to have a bug spray with you otherwise you will become mosquito food if you venture outside the hotel. Mobile service over there is not as stable as it would be. Overall, all of our 3 families had a great time there.

Family owned and run which meant knowledge about the area was exceptional and gave it a real personal touch. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners and their staff. I would recommend to everyone. We arrived just after the Jasper wildfires and so had to replan what we could see and visit, the staff and owners were helpful and attentive with this.

“Comfortable lodgings in a nice quiet location”

Excellent quiet location, friendly owners who additionally provide excellent information and maps for walking trails. Breakfast was good with a surprising addition of a dessert! Room was comfortable.

“It is a place we can call it home.”

The location is wonderful, you feel you are home, many places in the hotel to relax and enjoy the nature.. coffe, tea, snack and fruits are provided all the time for free.the staff are very welcome and helpful and the owner is very nice and generous. It is a place you call home 😊we wouldn’t go anywhere else when we need a relaxing vacation.

“We had a good time. Loved the unexpected power outage and the creek crossing at 11.30pm!”

Using the dining room for impromptu picnic supper. Breakfasts were great, especially the croissants. The girl (staff) from Germany was terrific. But all staff were friendly. Obviously the place needs some major investment and we hope that happens.
